This is my friend, neighbor, and fellow hockey mom. Natasha moved into our neighbors just one year ago. I saw them moving in and decided to stop and introduce myself. It took all of 2.5 seconds to spot the hockey net. I learned that she had a son my sons age, but they were just going to plat house league, assuming he missed all area try outs. My husband was one of the coaches for our sons travel team, we got John a supplemental and of course he made the team!

It March Natasha found a lump on her right breast. She wanted to brush it off, but we (her friends and neighbors) got her an appointment. She was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma.

This mom, she is a warrior. Mom to 4 kids at home (ages 16-4) and two grown kiddos, plus a one year old grand baby. She hasn’t let this cancer stop her one bit! On top of John playing travel hockey, he also plays travel baseball and house league football. Her oldest daughter is in track, another daughter involved in a very high level of gymnastics, and the little one also in gymnastics.

Us hockey moms, were made is steel. Sarah Palin once said that the only difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull is lipstick. How very true!!! #tashastrong
